The trails are closed.
Too much rain & warm weather
took its toll on our snow!

Monday, February 25, 2008
The new snow has the trails in very good shape.
The wind is forecast to be gusting at 40 mph tomorrow.
Watch for ice under the snow. There is a good solid
base under the trail but it is ice in some locations.
------------------------------------------------------
Sunday, February 24, 2008
The trails can't have much, if any loose snow on them.
There have been a few sleds out running though.
Tomorrow they are calling for 6 or more inches
of new snow. The trail base is still hard and flat.

Monday, February 18, 2008
The trails are closed.
The rain and warm temps were just too much.
There is still a base but no loose snow.
There is also too much standing water on the trails.

Sunday, February 17, 2008
It is raining this morning with up to
2" total
rain expected. There is supposed to be
2" of snow coming after the rain. The trails
were groomed flat and hard as of last night.
If they can handle this rain they may be OK
after we get the snow. It is supposed to be
cold again for the next few days but there
will be standing water or ice from this storm.
Expect creek crossings to be deeper than usual!

The groomer was out today.
The trails are excellent except for a few
wet spots that should soon firm up.
Remember to stay between the trail markers!
The landowners are letting us use their land.
Please respect it!!!

IT"S HERE!!!
We have about 14" of new snow from the storm.
This is the heavier snow that should
smooth things out for us.
BE CAREFUL! THERE WAS RAIN BEFORE
THE SNOW AND SOME LOW AREAS
& DITCHES HAVE WATER COVERED BY SNOW.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008
The groomer has been out! There isn't a lot of snow but the trails are covered and people are out riding.
------------------------------------------------------
Sunday, January 8, 2008
January thaw is early this year 55° today, trails are closed!
Time to get the sleds shined up and ready for the next dumping of snow.
Hopefully that will be soon!

Friday, December 28, 2007
The trails are open! 6" of heavy snow fell today. The blowing snow this week has filled in any chiseled plowed fields so most trails are in good shape. The temps look good for the next week to hold the snow.

Thursday, December 20, 2007
Well the warm temps and rain took their toll on the trails. The President says as of today they are officially closed. Hopefully the weekend will bring more cold and snow before Christmas.

Tuesday, December 18, 2007
All Winnebago Sno-Gliders trails are in pretty good shape. Reports are good heading toward Byron and also Pecatonica. Hopefully the predicted warm air will not hurt much this week.

Please stay between the markers!!!

There are many hazards out there that are very near the trails. We mark around holes, ruts, rocks, trees, fences and any other obstacles that we cannot move. If you ride outside of the marked trails you risk hitting one of these hazards. Also we lose land every year because of people riding off the trails. The landowners let us use their land. Lets ride where they want us to, so we may keep riding there!

Make sure to give the Groomer Drivers a "Thumbs Up" when you see them.
They could be out there riding like you, but instead they're out there making sure you have a much smoother ride!

STAY ON THE MARKED TRAILS,
RESPECT THE LANDOWNERS
AND RIDE SAFE!
